appeals process

A person who has been banned from entering licensed premises throughout Halton may lodge an appeal against the prohibition.

  • Appeals should be made in writing to the Pubwatch co-ordinator.
  • Appeals letters will be acknowledged in writing.

When an appeal is made against a banning order, PubWatch scheme members will take into account the following:

  • The seriousness of the incident for which the ban / exclusion order was imposed
  • The feelings of all persons involved
  • The acceptance (or not) of wrong doing by the person or persons that have been banned / excluded
  • Any restitution already taken
  • Any other relevant details

The person or persons lodging the appeal will be informed in writing by the PubWatch scheme member's decision regarding the banning order.
